Remote controls have a habit of disappearing when you need them most. Tufnut remote tethers secure remote controls from traveling where they don't belong. Not limited to remote control security, these cables can also support a variety of other loss-prevention applications.
Our original selection of remote control tethers features small tab ends (1/2" x 1/2") that can be superglued to the back or side of most remote controls and portable equipment, wherever a flat spot is available. For larger equipment surfaces we've also added medium (1" x 3/4") and large tabs (1" x 2") that provide better adhesive bonding, available with either superglue or self-adhesive backing.
Larger tabs can be substituted for small tabs in all remote control cables, and if you don't find the assembly you need, please check out our selection of custom tethers and fittings where you can design your own cable assemblies.

Remote Control Anchor
Remote Control Tethers - Straight
Remote Control Tethers keep remote controls where they belong. The small tab end (1/2"x1/2") is glued to the remote, while the other is attached to your furniture.
This tether system is intended for equipment management, and low-risk theft protection.
The tethers can be ordered with an unfinished loop, which you attach and complete to anchor the remote (GRXC4L). We also offer screw mounts and glue options to anchor the cable end.
The tethers in this section feature small superglue tabs, requiring 1 GT2 glue to secure about 50 tabs.
If glue is NOT included with the component, you'll need to order it separately.
This saves you money, since you can adhere up to 50 one tab or 25 two tab systems with one glue.

Remote Control Tethers - Coiled
Coiled Remote Tethers are 1/8" thick by 5, 10 or 20 feet long, available with a loop end, with a security screw end, or with 2 glue tab ends.
The coiled feature gives you flexibility to use the remote control without worrying about managing the cable. It's also suitable for securing microscopes and lab equipment. The light recoil of these cables makes them appropriate for securing light-weight or delicate equipment.
The tether attaches the small tab end (1/2"x1/2") to your remote with our GT2 Superglue.

Coiled Remote Control Tethers with Large Tabs
While small adhesive tabs are compatible with the widest range of remote controls, a larger tab allows for a stronger adhesive bond.
For comparison, our normal small tabs measure 1/2" x 1/2" square x .150" thick, while our new medium tabs are 3/4" x 1" x .280" thick, and our large tabs are 1" x 2" x .090" thick. The larger size makes using self-adhesive tape possible, which means these tabs can be removed if needed.
