All of these systems feature a small tab end (1/2"x 1/2") that can be glued to the back or side of most remote controls and other portable equipment. We've recently improved our GT2 superglue so it's IMPOSSIBLE to remove the tabs without damaging your equipment. Remote Control Security AnchorRemote Control Security System keeps VCR remote controls where they belong. The small tab end (1/2"x1/2") is glued to the remote, while the other is attached to your furniture.This system is intended for equipment management, and low-risk theft protection. This Remote Control System can be ordered with an unfinished loop, which you attach and complete to anchor the remote (GRXC4L). We also offer screw and glue options to anchor the cable end. System requires 1 GT2 glue, which glues 50 tabs. If glue is NOT included with the component, you'll need to order it separately. Remote Control Security Cable - CoiledCoiled Remote Security Cable is 1/8" thick by 5, 10 or 20 feet long, which makes it much longer and stronger than our remote control security anchor (above). It's available with a loop end, with a security screw end, or with 2 glue tab ends.The coiled feature gives you flexibility to use the remote control without worrying about managing the cable. It's also suitable for securing microscopes and lab equipment. The recoil of these cables is weaker than that of the retractable cables (shown below) often making them more appropriate for securing light-weight or delicate equipment than the retractable cables. The security cable attaches the small tab end (1/2"x1/2") to your remote with our GT2 Superglue. One GT2 superglue will attach up to 50 cable tabs. Small, Medium and Large Tabs on Coiled Cables |
New Coiled Cables with Larger TabsWhile our small tab ends have made the remote cables very popular, there are situations where larger cable ends are desirable.For comparison, our normal small tabs measure 1/2" x 1/2" square x .150" thick, while our new medium tabs are 3/4" x 1" x .280" thick,and our large tabs are 1" x 2" x .280" thick. The larger size makes using self-adhesive tape possible, which means these tabs can be removed if needed. Our Coiled and Straight Cable Options page lets you create your own cables. Retractable Cable Recoiler |
Retractable Cables and Recoilable CablesThese retractable security cables recoil when not in use, which reduces cable clutter. They all come with our small superglue tabs which attach to your property. The clear vinyl-coated 1/16" thick cables are 3-feet long. The retractor is anchored to your furniture with a choice of a self-adhesive anchor, superglue, a wire cable, or a security screw.RC3AT uses a self-adhesive adapter that adheres the retractor to your furniture RC3WT is attached with a 6 inch wire anchor cable that goes around or through other furniture. You then crimp the cable sleeve (included) to the wire cable with your vice-grip tool to anchor the retractor. The screw attachment options include a one-way security screw (RC3SOT) or Phillips screw (RC3SPT) inserted through the retractor and screwed to a solid surface. RC3GT2T anchors the recoiler using superglue for permanent anchoring. RC3T is the recoiler only, with no anchor mounting device. The retractable cables come with a spring-mounted cable clip that can be used to clamp and hold the extended cable from retracting. We can add length to this device by supplying a longer wire anchor cable, or by connecting a length of extra cable (that does not retract) to the end of the retractable cable. You can create your own loop end on the retractable cable using this same approach. Our Retractable Cable Options page lets you create your own cables with a variety of tabs and cable ends.
